We've had an annual membership for a number of years even though our children are grownup. It's great to visit on a Sunday morning as the zoo opens and spend a couple of hours walking around getting to know some of the animals. You only have to visit 4 times each year to maximise your membership and it's well worth... More

So much to see, a great family day out especially suitable for young children. Plenty of facilities such as toilets, baby change and dozens of picnic tables some indoors / covered. Gift shops can be bypassed if needed you don't have to exit through them unlike most big tourist attractions. Plenty of well organised parking. Get there early to avoid... More

This attraction is in the superlative class. Excellent value for money and we were really pleased in seeing how well the animals appeared to be treated. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the catering facilities extensive. Our favourite animals were the sloth (suits our nature ) and the Jaguar/Panther who took one look at us stuck his nose... More

Family day out with my Grandson, just had a fab time. Lots of animals and sections to see. Zoo very tidy and clean. The animals were very clean and appeared to be entertained, sometimes Zoo' can be sad places. Lots to see and do, staff very knowledgeably. The monorail and boat ride are a way to get a round and... I'm slightly biased as I live virtually next door ( can hear the lions roaring from my bedroom) but this is a must place to visit , all the animals in a natural environment sure sometimes you can t see some of them but it's way more natural than being in cages . The islands is a great new part... More

The prices weren't too bad and the weather was lovely on the day. The animals looked well treated and there was plenty of room for them. There were plenty of staff available to ask for directions etc. Plenty of animals to see and lots of information on them too read.

Visited the zoo last week with mum-in-law. We caught the bus from Chester station which took around 20 minutes. We had purchased our discounted tickets from the hotel (also available at the Tourist Information Centre and I believe online) Entry to the zoo was quick and easy. We were given a free map and was advised the monorail would be... More
