Anybody interested in clocks as I am should go and see it well maintained and in an exceptional location. It is the second most photographed clock in the U.K. Big Ben first !!

We caught it in the early evening, about 5 p.m with the sun shining on it. The gold was absolutely beautiful.

We passed under and passed on the wall. Beautiful structure. It is colourful and very ornate. Highly recommend.

Restored and Renovated within the last 12 Months a picture of the iconic clock is a must. Exiting to stand on the walkway directly below and also to view the clock from street level.

You will come across this clock if you walk along the walls. It’s very nice but in reality you will spend a few minutes admiring it before you move on.

Even if you have never been to Chester, the likelihood is that you will recognise this clock that sits atop an arch across the road. Fairly recently renovated, the clock is now looking splendid.

This clock sums up Chester - a Charles 11nd design, in a Tudor-looking city - and it's all really Victorian - but the results are entirely pleasing!

The children raced up the steps to get a better look and it set us on our journey of the walls of Chester. It is a great place to watch the world go by and take in the architecture Chester's Tudor buildings and streets.

This splendid clock is a real stand out feature while shopping in Chester. I took some great photos. It makes one nostalgic for the pre-digital age.

The clock mechanism was replaced after a full upgrading of the clock was completed in October 2015. It is beautiful and admired by many thousands of tourists and of course we who live in Chester!
