Nice seafront, the pier is worth visiting, plenty of benches to sit on and sea walls of course. You can catch the bus up to the lighthouse, leisure centre and the beach hotels from the stop by the pier.

Walking along the promenade at Falmouth gives you fantastic views across the bay and the harbour. Lots of boat trips available for booking and lots of places to stop at for refreshments.

Falmouth is an interesting place and so is the sea front. Time to sit and dwell; take in the view and all that was going on in a busy harbour.

Super to walk from Pendennis Point, along seafront over Castle Beach, to Gyllyngvase beach and gardens. Wonderful views out to sea, often ships at anchor and sailing boats passing. Castle Beach mainly rocky, good for rock pooling, Gyllyngvase beach good for swimming. Princess Pavillion has...More

Having sampled a couple of the Cornish fishing villages that have roads so narrow you can barely fit a car down, it was good to get back to civilisation lol. Falmouth is a busy bustling town. The harbour is just as busy. We visited on...More

Marina and river views, great spot for a beer or to eat a pastie or fish and chips. Breathtaking in any weather. Last week I saw a superyacht (New Hampshire) which costs nearly $1/2 Million to rent for a week!

We enjoyed walking along the sea front and taking in the stunning views, watching people fishing, canoeing, sailing and going about their daily chores. We stopped in the square for a drink, there's plenty of places to choose from for food etc. A train station...More

As someone who was born and brought up in Falmouth, Castle Drive was a big part of my youth before I left the town. Luckily it hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. This walk rewards me with the views every time I undertake...More

Yes you can take dogs. Best to keep them on a lead as you are for the main part walking alongside main roads.

Not as far as I know - I've been coming here for 15 years and would have found some by now! Falmouth doesn't seem to be that sort of place - in fact we have only found an amusement arcade in Penzance so far.
