I find it incredible that home on the Island survives the weather. I have been to Newquay from 1967 onwards and marvelled at this home above the Beach

Regularly protected by lifeguards, this is just such a relaxing place to pass a few hours. Plenty of sand and the iconic 'island' overlooks the scene. A short walk from the centre of town, so no need to drive and with a few bars and...More

We went during Easter time so no sunbathing but it's a nice beach with loads of shops and restaurants near by.

We had a lovely afternoon here weather wasn't too bad not too hot or too cold. The sand is lovely and soft. Little coves are nice to look at and rock pools are good too. Would definitely visit this beach again if ever near again.

I never realised what lay beyond the island when the tide went out! Oh my word it is the most beautiful beach you can possibly imagine and I would happily spend all my days there. Advise going at low tide when you can walk all...More
