Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

Me and my partner had a great day out at Newquay Zoo! As avid animal lovers we have visited quite a few zoos around the uk and would definitely rate Newquay Zoo. Holding 130 different species of animals, I found the range of different species very extensive holding people's favourites such as lemurs, meerkats and african lions to the more... More

Myself and my partner visited Newquay zoo in Jan 2017. We had a lovely day there and spent nearly 6hours there. As keen animal lovers we have visited several zoos around the UK and we felt that Newquay zoo was very good value for money with a wide range of animals and spacious well equipped enclosures. In particular we found... More

My partner and I visit the zoo often it's so nice to walk around and take your time. The food is good if a little overpriced but the animals are always well cared for.

A fab place to visit. We live in Cornwall.. and have visited many times. We now tend to only visit when they offer special discounts as it's quite expensive for locals. Great friendly staff. Fab animals and great areas for the kids.

Loved this zoo, the monkeys on a little island in the lake were my favourite. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Best zoo ever - helped by good weather and the fact that it's December so not busy. The best part was the lion enclosure - 3 AWAKE lions the were close up ! Fabulous and breathtaking. The feeding time talk was great , thanks to Mark, and my son even had the confidence to ask a question. The lions alone... More

Lovely afternoon out. Not a huge zoo but well laid out with a small adventure trail for children as well. We took our grand children and had lunch in the cafe as well. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.

We went to the Zoo, which is only a short walk away from the city center ( we walked as the parking was very exspensive). It was a great little zoo and we really enjoyed watching the talks. Unfortunately on the day we went it was raining heavily but we still had fun. It was great value for money and... More
