There is a hand rail to hold on to but once you have got down the 132 steps the beach is quite great rock pools miles of sand and very quiet. Well worth the steps for the peace and quiet and great surfing!

This beach is a real hidden gem. It's not signposted from the road and there is no car park and no facilities or life guard. For these reasons it is not as crowded as other beaches which makes it such a pleasure to be on.

Best visited when the tide is receding as it is possible to be cut off, the cliffs are also a little unstable so caution is required. Great scenic location with many photo opportunities. Interesting caves, rocks, rock pools and crashing surf make this a great...More

This is a great beach - it's a very little known spot, as it cannot be seen from the road or the nearby coastal path. You can only see it from the very edge of the cliff. This beach is not suitable for the elderly...More

Visit it when the tide is low: very steep steps, not easy to reach but you'll have the chance to visit the galleries and see the cliffs from below. Most of the time you'll see very few people around and that's making the place even...More

I booked here based on reading others reviews , this is a good base for staying and travelling especially if you want to avoid the busy tourist bustle of Newquay. The rooms are comfortable (although I found our mattress a tad uncomfortable), the bathrooms look...More

Best beach in Cornwall! After tackling the very steep steps there is a very secluded, private beach which is almost never busy. If you're on there for long enough for the tide to come out all the way, it exposes a beautiful selection of rockpools...More

Found this beach with my 4 year old son. Was forewarned steps but thought i'd go and see for myself and assess whether it was a) possible and b) safe to go down with a little 'un. It was. There were about 150 steps down...More

This is a wonderful beach, but there are a lot of large steps to manage down to it. It has no facilities or lifeguard, just a totally unspoiled beach and a real suntrap. If you want your beach just totally natural, then this is the...More
