One of the best gardens in Cornwall whatever time of year you visit. Of particular note at this time of year are the Dicksonia ferns and the walled garden vegetables. When we visited they had the annual scarecrow show featuring "strong women" very good indeed....More

Real gem is the cafe which you can access without having to enter/pay for admission. The range of food on offer is pretty extensive and knocks spots of most National Trust cafes quality-wise too.

I suspect the gardens will be at their best in Spring. Nonetheless, wandering the extensive walled garden, still producing crops for the cafe, was a worthwhile experience.

Wonderful sensory experience!! Lots to see and smell. Lovely walled garden area with a quiet walk up to the terrace for wonderful views across a bay. Tea room not in the gardens but out near car park.
