The theatre was ok, the story behind it is very interesting but we enjoyed Porthcurno beach more than anything. I wouldn't really recommend a visit here.

Doesn't really matter what show you watch because you spend the whole time gazing across the Atlantic Ocean anyway. But the quality of shows they have is always top notch. Get there early and walk amongst the agapanthus and the rest of the beautiful planting. Make sure you see the museum and have lunch in the cafe with possibly the... More

We visited this theatre on a lovely July day. We didn´t see a performance, it was just an "ordinary" visit. However, the staff were friendly (allowed us to leave our heavy backpacks at the entrance), the weather splendid, the views just fascinating, the cappucino tasty, and the actor who tried to make us believe he also acted in the first... The Theatre is just like an amphitheatre but more Pompous and Grandiose. Has great nobility of character and with the seas lashing up on the rocks gives a dignity of splendour surroundings. Its breath taking and a worthy excursion. The Exhibition prior to descending to the Theatre is very well laid and gives all the history of its evolution and... More

Wonderful backdrop. Great for a visit but magical if you can catch a summertime production. Reminder of a Roman amphitheatre but in a wonderfully unpretentious rural setting

With its spectacular setting and amazing history this is a place not to be missed! We were lucky to arrive just after opening on what had been a morning of heavy rain. We had the place to ourselves for a whole hour and the sun shone for us. It was wonderful just to wander around and then sit and take... More

Certainly worth all of the 5-star reviews, the Minack Theatre is a must see when in Cornwall. Set right on the coast, it has to be seen to be believed - even when there isn't a show on. There's a small history section about the theatre's creation then you can roam the site and take to the stage. We didn't... More

We came here and balked at the £5 entrance cost. Having overcome our concern the magic of this place was working overtime. We were both amazed at the story of Rowena Cade's vision and her and her gardener's dedication. Sea mists were swirling around the area but even that and the cold of the day could not detract from the... More

Located in a stunning setting, high up on the cliff with the waves crashing below. The theatre is very well tended with grass and stone seating and a decent coffee shop along with a small museum. However the real attraction is the bay off to the left, coastal path can be accessed to the left of the entrance gate and... More
