The house is impressive as you approach - but the grounds and garden are disappointing compared to the many wonderful gardens that you can visit nearby and in the far south west of Cornwall.

A fine Elizabethian house with an interesting history and (at the time of visiting) lots of dressing up opportunities for families. Trying on armour was fun! Please note that dogs cannot enter the grounds at all, nor are there any parkland walks so I'd advise...More

My favourite Manor House in a beautiful setting and great gardens. I attended the Cornwall Design Fair which was taking place the weekend I stayed. This Fair takes place annually in August and is a must see for those visiting in that period
