It's an exceptionally clean beach and unlike the beaches at Newquay or Crantock this does't seem to get overly busy so there's a bit of space to stretch out and not feel like you're tripping over other people. Usual amenities in the area available but parking can be tight and hard to find.

St Ives is a great place, Carbis Bay may be the quietist part but it can get busy. The reason is because it is so nice, sheltered, fun but mind the gulls.

We went to car is bay on an extremely windy and rainy day in March. The bay still looked beautiful and we got many pictures. There is a lovely cafe to grab a drink and snack.

When you see the white sand and the blue sea you can understand why all artists are attracted to this area. The air is so pure and there are lovely views across to Hayle. A lovely spot.

we caught the train here but since it was winter not much was open here.we had a walk along this lovely sandy bay, enjoying the breeze of a strong wind. In winter dogs are allowed on the beach and they enjoy it too!And because of the rough weather there were fish on the sand ,dog fish! We also saw porpoises swimming... More

Good beach , wide, plenty of sand, fairly flat allowing easy entry to the water. Cannot comment on the purity of the water as I did not swim.

We often go to stay in St Ives, & last year we decided to spend the day on Carbis Bay Beach for a change. My daughter & great grand daughter loved it there, but I was quite disappointed. The beach itself is lovely, but I missed not having everything near by like we have in St Ives. Also I noticed... More

Carbis Bay Hotel overlooks this fine beach, it is clean and offers magnificent views across to the Godrevy Lighthouse and Gwithian Bay. Grey seals are often seen close to the shore and the beach is 'dog friendly' during the winter months.

In my humble opinion Carbis Bay takes the accolade for best beach. It is deep enough and long enough to not be swamped by other beachgoers.
