A very interesting museum at the former home of one of our foremost artists. A wonderful exhibition of her work both inside the property and in the garden and well worth a visit for an eminently affordable price of around £6.00 My only criticism would be about the rather surly and unhelpful person on reception who showed a general dis-interest... Fascinating museum in Barbara Hepworths house with a garden full of her amazing sculptures, I was particularly interested to see her workshop with several works in progress.

You get the fascinating life of Barbara Hepworth and to see a lot of her wonderful work. Inside and in the garden. And learn how it was created. Do try to catch the 40 minute talk. It will open your eyes. Simply don't miss this.

Don't miss this impressive museum - great sculptures in the, from outside, almost invisible garden - we could feel the special power of the location. Sit down and breathe it in!

Not knowing much about the artist, we mainly stopped here because of a heavy rain.  It turned out to be quite interesting.  The first floor has a retrospective of the sculptors life. Upstairs and out in the garden are numerous sculptures.  The whole thing was much more engaging than I anticipated.

It was a wet day and perhaps the attractions were not at there best but interesting if only for the bizarre works and strange sculptures. Big is obviously better but a little disappointing.

Really friendly staff and a beautiful oasis of calm in what can be a very busy town in the tourist season!

Lovely little museum whose jewel in the crown is the sculpture garden. It's small but well laid out. Nice to just meander round, even going over the same ground (perhaps in the opposite direction) and maybe spotting something new or catching something from a different angle or in a different light. Highly recommended and well worth the entrance fee. Very... More

I love this sculpture garden and notice new things each time I visit. At this time of year, the plants are vibrant (especially given the cool summer) and have grown substantially. They seem to drape themselves around Hepworth's work, no doubt creating the images she was planning to achieve. The museum provides the background to her life and that of... More
