We were privileged to be invited to a private view at the opening of a local artist's exhibition (the wonderful Lauren Sebastian). It is a wonderful, intimate space for appreciating art, right in the heart of St Ives.

This is one of my favourite galleries in St Ives. I've seen two exhibitions in Salthouse 2 which is on two levels and has an intimate feel. It is now one of the regular places I'll be going to.

The Salthouse Gallery has been established since 1979 showing contemporary abstract works. The gallery is located in the centre of St Ives just off the harbour. The Gallery provides artists with exhibition space to enable them to display their work. Different artists exhibit their work every week and entry is free. Visitors to the gallery are able to speak to... More

The Salthouse Gallery provides artists with exhibition space for artists to show their work. Each week you get different artists exhibiting. It is free and you will be able to speak to the artist(s) in PERSON as the exhibitions are by the artists themselves. You can often find a good deal as artists are not paying the 40 or 50... More

Really enjoyed this gallery. It had several artists featured working in all types of mediums. Different budgets able to be accommodated, too. Pop in and plan to spend some time just enjoying it.

This gallery in the heart of St. Ives is always worth a visit. It has some beautiful paintings and prints covering a fairly wide range of subjects (not just the anticipated views of the town). That said, St. Ives blue is seen fairly often and with great effect. Staff are both knowledgeable and approachable and there is no 'art snobbery'... More

This gallery is wonderful. With beautiful paintings and prints and the friendliest of staff. I would have spent so much more but I didn't have the room to get it home!

A very interesting Gallery to visit and it had some beautiful paintings. It was right in the centre of St Ives so very accessible. The staff were nice and very helpful and were glad to provide any amount of information about the artist and/or the paintings.
