We spent an amazing morning at Gwithian beach with our dog. It is a huge beach with plenty of room for everyone there, the life guards had just started duty that weekend and were in good humour but also really professional too. The sun was...More

I work on a caravan site just across the dunes from Gwithian beach. What a fantastic place it is, we like to walk it in all weathers, it's so nice. It's popular with surfers so there's always something to look at, we love the place.

We visit Gwithian as often as we can. One of the most beautiful of Cornish beaches with excellent surf too, suitable for all abilities. The beach is patrolled b the RNLI beach team who will advise on tide and surf states. A joy...

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Are you allowed camp fires on the beach (safely created of course)?

I can't see why not! Near Godrevy head the National Trust may ban it. The beach is very tidal and if you are responsible I can see no reason why not!
Which part of the beach are dogs allowed? Thanks

I did not see any signs for a specific area for dogs to be walked on.
