Been here tons of times in all seasons. Dramatic in winter - stunning in spring/summer. Probably one of south Devon's most beautiful beaches. Public loos. Brilliant Venus Cafe - don't believe both are open all year round. High season you have to pay for parking.

The Venus Cafe is situated on the beautiful beach of Blackpool Sands. Friendly staff serving breakfasts, lunches, cream teas and delicious cakes. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This is a beautiful area - the beach is managed and parking is paid for. However there are facilities available along with a shop and a cafe.

A very nice shingle beach with gorgeous background of black cliffs and trees. A very nice cafe. We visited on a sunny Sunday in April, not crowded at all.

Blackpool sands has no sand but lots and lots of rocks. The kids loved examining all the beautiful variations of rocks. The beach shelves quite steeply so wouldn't recommend swimming/paddling but lovely to walk along or sit and enjoy the view. Parking was £3.50 I...More

Clean, quiet and utterly stunning. There is a cafe and a small shop. Good parking available. One of the most beautiful UK beaches I have been to

Not sure why but this beach seems to have lots of people complaining about how bad it is but who have then still given it 5 stars? Have they done this in error, clearly it makes the overall rating incorrect if people do this and misleading for new visitors?

I don't think the cost for parking was a problem or anything (it was quite reasonable - although a touch more expensive than other nicer beaches we went to) but I just think that for the sake of knowing what you're getting... More
