We visited the riverside resort of Dartmouth as part of an organised ‘Round Robin’ tour of this part of Devon by the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company. Our schedule gave us just under three hours to explore the town and we set off...More

We sat in these gardens after a long walk along the coastal path. A very talented singer entertained us with his guitar; it wasn’t intrusive, just lovely playing & singing. There’s a bandstand & flowers, right near the shops.

As we stayed in Dartmouth, we walked through the gardens daily. Lovely, well kept gardens with a bandstand.

Every time we go to Dartmouth we seem to gravitate to these gardens. They are always beautiful and when the live music is not playing they are a great place to escape to. The summer flowers are always gorgeous and the fountain has been christened...More

Has a really good tourist information center, is immaculate, a trickling brook, a quaint little bandstand & is very dog friendly, just remember to pick up after your dog as everyone seems to do as we didn’t see a single stray ‘poop’ on our visit....More

The gardens include different areas, with the area around the fountains and bandstand being the most popular and interesting. There’s often a busker to enjoy, quite a few benches to sit on and whole world to watch going by. Given reasonable weather, this place is...More

The gardens are great to walk through, not only are they really clean and tidy, but there are stalls or some form of entertainment going on throughout the day. Its also close to many shops, bars, restaurants which is very convenient.

Lovely relaxing area of Dartmouth. We walked through when a table top sale was taking place and it had a real community spirit about the area. There are also some toilets here too - although they had a box outside requesting 20p people were able...More

Nice to walk through while perusing Dartmouth. A small, unpretentious garden it nonetheless offers the visitor some lovely plant combinations, even some ideas to take back for the home garden. No charge, the garden just adds to the beauty of Dartmouth and is certainly worth...More

Relaxing gardens that are very well key. An oasis of calm. One warning is that the toilets have a charge of 20p. Although this is not uncommon now we always think it is unfair.
