Exciting and innovative, one of Devon's most prestigious art purveyors and galleries since 1997 now in the centre of Exeter in the historic Georgian Barnfield Crescent just off Southernhay. Famed for our most ambitious schedule of exhibitions throughout the year which are underpinned by our permanent collections on show incorporating an enviable catalogue of artists including some of the most influential in the UK today.

We travelled from Cumbria for an exhibition over 2 sites - Exeter and Budleigh Salterton. Each of the displays was good and there were books, video and explanatory material for visitors. The staff were very pleasant and helpful - obtaining a book for us that...More

A wonderful evening yet again which was informal and relaxed. The artist was happy to talk to me about his work and the exhibition also contained some David Hockney, Peter Blake, Chris Orr and Brad Faine amongst others. Angela held a Q and A session...More

We came across the Brook Gallery in Exeter somewhat by chance on a damp afternoon while on holiday in Exeter. Although interested in art, we are sometimes reluctant to enter galleries as one feels one is expected to show understanding and make appropriate comment. However...More

This is a gallery space that is so architecturally spectacular that it could house a Michelin starred restaurant. Although the setting is grand, the staff are informal and remarkably friendly. They happily impart their love of art but are equally content to let their customers...More

I’ve recently discovered this gallery. Right now I wish I had the fluency of those art critics in the Sunday supplements to write a review that’s worthy of this exceptional gallery. It’s the sense of energy and freshness in the works that best describes the...More

We enjoyed looking round the paintings and other art work - some wonderful pieces! There was also a table tennis table (which related to one of the paintings) in one room - we enjoyed having a go on that too! The proprietor Simon was very...More

Vast improvement upon the previous gallery there. Very impressive exhibition, very kind and friendly owner (but not in your face at all), and some gorgeous art. Good price range. Will certainly go back every time I am in Exeter.

Exeter seems to have very few art galleries, and so it was a very pleasant surprise to stumble across a beautiful, welcoming space with substantial quality work, presented in a sympathetic and understated stylish setting. This gallery is definitely well worth visiting, and can be...More
