Did this as the last section of the Devon Coast to Coast, this is an old railway line that runs from Yelverton to Plymton. Nice gentle down hill run all the way. Didn't do it the other way probably a long grind.

The Plymouth Valley Cycle Trail is stunning, one of my favourite cycle tracks in the south west. It's on an old railway line which climbs (or descends, depending where you start) through Dartmoor. Can be busy at weekends - but if you choose the right...More

A delightful little railway tucked away behind a retail park. A pleasant trip to Plym Valley woods. The buffet is cosy and charming (and good value). Will certainly visit again.

We're regulars along the cycle path...it's great for budding riders, speed cyclers, walkers, strollers and horses. Everyone seems to be friendly and considerate, and it's a joy to be in nature surrounded by glorious forests and rivers.

Cycle trail from Plympton to Clearbrook that takes you through the beautiful countryside along the old railway line. A steady incline but not too bad. Some nice views from on top of the viaducts on the way if you decide to stop for a break....More

We are lucky to have this place so close to home. Generally litter free and beautiful views from Coypool to Tavistock and back if your legs are up to the task.

This is a truly great cycle path and actually going up it’s pretty uphill so down is very fast. One criticism is that so much more has been tarmaced I liked it years ago when it was pretty much the gravel from the old railway...More
