I'm pleased to see some positive reviews for this almost forgotten little church. During the 1970s I was at school with two children of the Reverend of the Unitarian church and they opened it up for young people on Friday evenings as a place to meet, play table tennis, modern music etc. It was an amazing building (out of memory)... More

One of several religious buildings within a small patch of the centre, theUnitarian church is visually one of the more interesting from outside. I would very much like to look at the inside but have never come by when it is open, although the notice board suggests that is an active thriving church or meeting house and the car park... More

Built in the religious zone on the Abercrombie Plan for reconstruction after the WWII Blitz this neat simple almost cube building has a dinky but appropriate New England spire with a bit of wood cladding. It sit near the less successful Catherine Street baptist complex the much older Public Dispensary, the lovely synagogue and the tower end of St Andrews.... More
