The Cham's building on a corner in Ebrington St has been a bit sad looking for almost a year. Tusk took ages to open, missed the university term before the summer and then never really achieved its cool brasserie sports bar ambition. It closed quietly...More

Signs of action. The white blocker has been cleaned off the door and Windows. The new bar, benches and thick wooden tables are in place and the word on the street is that this place is to open under new management and the new name...More

I have tried to post previously and add photos but for some reason no contributions about the closure have been published. This well known bar in Ebrington St stopped opening during the summer. The signs have been removed, the windows obscured and the door heavily...More

I was looking for somewhere to watch the England - Australia rugby game with my wife and daughter-in-law. We were made to feel extremely welcome and enjoyed the game immensely. My 2-year-old Golden Retriever was also welcomed and offered water and several treats. The bar...More

Having visited this bar over a year ago and giving it 5 stars I was shocked when I returned to find it completely run down with little to offer in way of drinks and stinking of dogs. Won't be returning.

really nice place, dogs are really friendly and do not get overly excited. The art on the ceiling is a must see, and the funky portraits on the wall are awesome.

Been in a few times, and went in on Friday night and the atmosphere was amazing as the place was buzzing. The land lady and landlord are top too, went in alone to meet someone for the evening and both came over to say hi,...More

We came in having read the reviews. Not as cool as portrayed. Needed a clean and tidy. Bit like a flat after a party.

Minimalist interior. Predictable student drinks options. Pool table and frequent music playing, sometimes live.

In a neighbouring pub last night I was told that the project is back on and that workmen have very recently finished the kitchen and other parts. Much light debate on whether the 'Tusk' name may have to be changed in the... More
