Beware the ice cream van at meadfoot beach, ask for the famous hot dog. The roll is frozen, defrosted in microwave, the tinned sausage,is like rubber, you don't get onions with your hot dog, that's 30p extra, bloody cheek, 2xHot Dogs,No Onions £4.40. Never Again The ice cream bloke is arrogant, and doesn't give a toss The creep. AVOID AT ALL COST

We love this beach, we have lived nearby for 20years and brought our children and now our grandchildren here. Small shingle beach, but plenty of facilities in the summer, toilets, lovely cafe selling hot and clod food, Ice-cream and various non food items for the beach such as bucket spades and beach shoes. Also kayak hire ect. Very interesting beach... More

Managed to get away from teenage sons and relived our pre married life for the weekend. Lovely walk in the fading Devon light with my beautiful wife. Come on down...bring your own wife!

Collected rocks with my son. Not crowded at all. Cafe is basic - owners said they are looking to upgrade. Toilets are clean. Sign said dogs are not allowed on the beach however the signs are ignored by dog owners.

Sea wall is built with local rocks, very interesting. The pebbles on the beach are very mixed and multicoloured. Under the sea are anemones, seaweeds fish etc. spent ages watching them. Those who braved the rocks found crabs too. Then to cafe for coffee and sitting to view the dogs having fun. Oct 2016. M and G from Bournemouth

A great place to sit and watch the waves go by , there is a van selling ice cream tea and coffee ☕️ you can walk along the front or wonder down the slip way

Just outside the town, at the bottom of one of Torquay's seven spectacular hills, lies Meadfoot beach. The walk up to Daddyhole Plain (signposted) is also amazing. Agatha Christie loved it too.

On a whistle stop tour back to Torquay and time to drive round and visit a few significant places from my childhood. Was often at Meadfoot Beach and used to live in the crescent that formed part of the Osborne Hotel so the beach was a minute away. Lovely memories.
