Very steep walk down to this cove, and a bit sad that the cafe and loos were closed even thought it was mid afternoon. Not sure if this is an out of season thing or not as no signs to say opening hours. Would have been really useful at the top of the hill if there had been a sign... More

I must start by saying, it's not for the disabled as it has a long steep path leading down to the cove. However when you get there, there is a lovely cafe which can serve you a lovely bacon bap. Well worth it and the views of the sea are fabulous. I would rate this Cove a 5 Star visit.

A real surprise - tucked away down some steep steps. Park up at the Car Park (£5 for 24 hours - but you pay less for less). Picture perfect views of the cove and the rocks as you descend. Then a lovely promenade with a few tables and a kiosk/shop serving tea and selling tea, cakes, sunglasses and plastic shoes... More

A wonderful cove, fantastic scenery, unspoilt, lovely cafe and clean toilet was an unexpected bonus. Wonderfully quiet but busy

The cove is sign posted on the main coastal road near the Palace Hotel. just follow the road , narrow at times, but you end up on a one way road. A large car park, pay and display. Walk to your left, you have steps or a small road to walk down, very steep in places, but worth the walk... More

If you want a little bliss visit Anstey's Cove early on a warm sunny morning. It is a fairly steep walk down (and therefore up...), but you will be greeted by a beautiful view that can be enjoyed over a coffee at the café. The staff there are very friendly and serve a great breakfast. As other reviewers have already... More

Deckchairs are available to hire but check there are some free before paying as only a limited number. Cafe serves a tasty breakfast, light lunches and cakes with a licensed bar and... More

Gorgeous cove, great food and amazing kayaking with my young children. The owners of the cafe and water-sports were very helpful, great with kids. The cove was gorgeous and like a mill pond, ideal for beginners

A local suggested we visit Anstey's cove & we are so pleased we did. Very pretty. Perfect for kayaking. Lovely cafe. Friendly staff. Clean toilet facilities. Access via a steep descent. Lovely coastal walks through woodland with impressive views of the cove. Parking is £5 for the whole day but with options for less time. Number plate recognition via CCTV... More
