Cockington Country Park surrounds the picture postcard Cockington Village...

Cockington Country Park surrounds the picture postcard Cockington Village which lies just off the seafront near Torquay. The Country Park is free to walk around and features beautiful formal gardens, lakes and woodlands which can be enjoyed via a network of paths.

Cockington Court and Cafe are nearby, along with a collection of craft studios where you can browse the creations of local artists and crafts people.

The Cockington Country Park is cared for by local charity the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, who's volunteers operate a Visitor Centre in the village. Car parking is chargeable, although Trust members can park for free in the Trust's car park. Visit our website for more details.

The score and title seem to contradict, the park and village are so beautiful and unique, however not especially wheelchair friendly and very poorly signposted for those visitors. The website states that there is parking for "blue badge" holders but I couldn't find one sign directing us there. It was down to a local to guide us to an appropriate... More

Not to be missed, this is a beautiful old thatched cottages village, Really lovely to have a walk around, there was a man playing the piano outside the cafe, people were sitting having coffee, really relaxing afternoon. Unfortunately we had a wheelchair so it was a bit harder getting around, but well worth the visit. :)

Stopped here for an afternoon and found it really charming. There happened to be a wedding at the church and this added to the atmosphere. There was also a cricket match on the green next to the tea room, so we had a nice spot of tea with a view. There are also craft shops that are pretty interesting. You... More

I went to see Cockington Village on Sunday as I have been told how beautiful and picturesque it is. I was told to go to the Rose Cottage for lunch or cream tea. Unfortunately it rained but didn't spoil the day. Also there are various things to see there like glass making and a Blacksmith which was very interesting. I... More

Great place to unwind with a walk around the estate, tea or lunch in a choice of tea rooms or a pint at The Drum Inn.

Well worth a visit, went there on 10.06.2016 by special small bus from Torquay Harbour every 40 mins using our bus passes. This bus does not run on week-ends - crazy. Walk through the delightful park from the drop-off point to the craft centre. Two chaps glass blowing with lots of their arty work to buy at sensible prices. The... More

Ideal for a lovely walk on a warm day. I, however, drove! Delicious Devon cream tea in the Weavers Cottage Tea Shoppe, a visit to the old forge and gift shops then a walk up to Cockington Court, the glass factory and chocolate shop. The inside of the church was beautiful and worth seeing.
