Plenty of atmosphere, and quite a good range of "stalls" I think the best ones are local people selling good quality " local " produce,as with many markets there is a few units selling old or tatty clothes

We always visit The Friday Market on our bi-annual trips to South Devon..not only for Antiques&Bric-a-brac..but for vegetables/olives and home-made bread and bakery products...Upstairs in the Hall is an Antiques'Fair'...there is also an outdoor market on Saturdays...unmissable..

Love going toTotnes market simply because there is no pressure on you to buy but there are always new things to see and often crazy items that make you smile and sometimes even buy. We would miss it if it wasn't there.

Visited again and bought a few interesting little things. Like browsing round this and you can always pick up a few trinkets or some artisan food. Nice bit of bartering too. Worth an afternoon visit.
