I travelled to the Oceanarium with friends, while I enjoyed it alot, it seems a little run down. Love penguins and that was my main reason for visit and the enclosure seemed very small, smaller than all others I have seen.

We had originally planned to visit on the worst weather forecasted day for our holiday, so walked from our hotel in wind and rain only to find due to a serious power cut they were unable to open. Not their fault, these things happen. The...More

We visited today and had a great time. We booked online and was able to save £1 per adult off entry. There are lots of different animals to see and we spent pretty much the whole time uttering things like wow, aahhh, woah, look at...More

This Oceanarium has little to offer compared to some of the good ones I have seen. If you are stuck for something to do and it is raining (and you can afford it) by all means visit it, otherwise choose an aquarium that offers more...More

This is great for kids and adults too I've been a few times and it's great to see what they have . Kids will love it and it's great for young loves on dates to break the ice.

Quite over priced for what it is really and too over crowded. I had taken a 6 year old family relative who loves oceanariums for a day out. The place was far too busy to even look at anything for longer than a minute due...More

We came here for our daughters birthday in June. Very nice fish tanks with multicoloured fish. We spent about an hour here with lots of things too see. Our 2 girls loved watching the big fish and going under the tunnel.

The entrance fee is a bit pricey considering the place is pretty small. But the pool with the sharks and sea turtles and enormous ray in it makes it worth it, the sea tunnel is of that same pool so you can see the turtles...More

You can walk through the whole place in about 30 mins or less! If you stop and read about all the fish etc and take in a 'feeding' then 1.5hrs! The good thing is if you decide to leave you can go back during the same day.

There is lots of parking behind the BIC in their multi storey car park, also two pay and displays on the other side of pier approach. They get busy so though BIC would be the better option if arriving later. If you are... More
