I had heard so much about the Oceanarium and was pleased to visit it with my husband earlier in the year when they were doing half price tickets for locals. I found it a bit depressing, I though the pools were too small for some...More

Before I start this review, you need to know that I'm a grumpy old (69) bloke who doesn't like lots of people. So I was a bit crazy to decide to go to a major tourist attraction in a major tourist town, during school holidays,...More

Although quite small the oceanarium is a great place to visit especially with young children. Some of the exhibits need some updating though. It's a shame the café by the penguins is never open in term time!!

Good reasonably sized aquarium. I prefer this one to the London aquarium, yes it is smaller but things are much easier to see, there are lots of interactive things for the kids to do, and a small play area. The staff are friendly and informative....More

The price isn't bad here and the season ticket is also a great price. It's not a huge place but still lovely. The 2 rescue turtles are my favourite Robinson and crusoe. They now have penguins there too.

Nice place to spend a bit of time but i think it's more interesting for kids rather than adults.Bit over priced for what it is but ok.

You can walk through the whole place in about 30 mins or less! If you stop and read about all the fish etc and take in a 'feeding' then 1.5hrs! The good thing is if you decide to leave you can go back during the same day.

There is lots of parking behind the BIC in their multi storey car park, also two pay and displays on the other side of pier approach. They get busy so though BIC would be the better option if arriving later. If you are... More
