This costs a tiny amount and is a functional alternative to walking the steep cliff paths in order to get down to the beaches. Nice views from the cars. Historically significant. Why not give it a go?

It was great to be able to travel on this great funicular railway. Use it or lose it . It's a fantastic piece of history. Well done.

We took a trip on the railway, something I remember from when I was a kid, it was a real blast from the past and took me right back. great way to relive your youth!!!

This is a lovely way to get to the top of the West Cliff at Bournemouth especially at the end of the day. It is certainly a lot easier than the Zig-Zag path. The cost is £1.50, which is reasonable. It's an interesting experience.

Very useful Funicular on Bournemouth beach. We stayed at the Marriott Highcliff hotel which was just at the top! Pleasant staff to show you in and out of the lifts.

I used it regularly , it allowed me good access to the beach, not expensive. As a result of a landslip it has been removed, to be replaced in the near future. As a result it's now a mile plus drive to access the beach.

Now a year or two since it stopped working. The alterative is a very LONG and VERY STEEP WALK up a zig zag narrow path to gain access to the road above. Be aware it is steep.
