We popped in on a weekday afternoon, for a look and some time to sit and pray. Interesting marble carving of the Last Supper behind the altar. A peaceful welcoming place.

I have visited this beautiful historic Church before when visiting Dorchester, while on holiday in the area. So staying in Weymouth again I came to this peaceful Church on Saturday to light a candle and say a prayer for a lovely person on the day...More

Lovely accessible high street church. A wonderful carving of the Last Supper, main stained glass window and an impressive sarcophagus for each of two unknown knights (an information board would be useful here as they're obviously very old and utterly fascinating). Lovely place. A slice...More

St. Peter's Church in Dorchester is a lovely church to visit if you are in the area. I love the outside gargoyles/grotesques on the sides and top of the church. It is easy to get to, parking maybe a little tricky.

St Peters is well worth a short visit. It is musty with age and packed with lovely windows and church architecture. It is close to the town's museum and sites of interest.

Went there for a few minutes last week and enjoyed how old and pretty it was. The architectural design is beautiful and the church sticks out in the heart of the city. The inside is very pretty and not too fancy. Nice place to stop...More

I had half an hour to kill in Dorchester, when I saw this lovely church, on High West street. The modern entrance doors made of glass, keep out the traffic noise from the busy road. Inside, I was impressed with the stained glass windows, which...More
