We decided to visit Sherborne Castle with our friends as we were curious about the history surrounding it. We booked online and got our tickets slightly cheaper. When we arrived we decided to have a walk around the gardens. The grounds to this castle are...More

Wow! We weren’t very impressed by the exterior of this house but the interior is just great. Paintings, porcelain, furniture and history it’s all there. Highly recommended.

Years ago (many) I remember going to Sherborne Castle with school and although a 12 year old doesn't really have much interest in old things and history, it always stayed in my mind. I decided that it was time to re-visit this Castle and rekindle...More

We arrived at 11am on a Monday and went straight into the castle. This turned out to be a good call as we virtually had it to ourselves - it seemed most other people had headed for the tea rooms first! The castle was full...More

A garden only visit but very enjoyable, the vistas from the longer walk are excellent and although this is predominantly a landscape rather than formal garden there is plenty of interest, well maintained throughout worth a hour or two of anyone’s time.

Go into the castle drive, pay admission at the ticket box, you are then directed to the castle and parking. It is a large area close to the castle
