This fascinating small museum reflects the social and historical life of Sherborne, a market town in the heart of the Dorset countryside. Attractions include a unique medieval wall-painting, a touch-screen version of the glorious Sherborne Missal, botanical watercolours by pioneering Edwardian artist Diana Wilson, a vast photographic archive, a famous dolls' house, silk displays and much more. This is a lovely little museum full of interesting items and information. It’s not very big so it’s easy to see everything in a reasonable time without getting overloaded with facts and figures. It’s ideal, therefore, if you want to fit in other sight seeing,...More

We only had 1/2 an hour to look round as we arrived near to closing time. We saw almost everything but would have tarried longer if we could. I was particularly interested in the Button Collections. I think there is something here for everyone, young...More

It is worth seeing Sherborne Museum it has A large selection of pieces from the roman times to the industrial revolution. A touch -screen version of the Sherborne Missal as well as some good memorabilia from the wars.
