Spit and sawdust yes but great ales and nice pasty gub. Very rustic, very old, great view. Fab lunch spot

really lovely pub that serves great beer . Also included,in this convenient stop off for walkers, is a museum of local finds, . We visited on a day when there was a music night which was also enjoyable. food is limited but looked and smelt...More

Because it is the only one. Great selection of ales, something for everyone. But the much vaunted pasties were a disappointment. And expensive.
