St Peter's Church is one of the main landmarks in Brighton. It was built in 1824-28 and constructed from Portland stone in the Perpendicular Gothic style. It's architect, Charles Barry, also designed the Houses of Parliament. Impressive building but showing signs of wear! However, its...More

Lovely church in an area of fine striking churches right in the centre of Brighton at the old Steine. The steins being the river that once passed through this area - above ground and now is part of Brighton's stage system.

Sundays at 11.00 (double check) offer free coffee and mini croissantes to get you in the Christian spirit. Very crowded and friendly. Recruitment time if you are willing. Community singing. I don't know what goes on at other services. Always being rebuilt. At the time...More

Do not be put off by the scaffolding or the tower covered in plastic sheeting. Once all the work had been completed it should be restored to its former glory. The services are very well attended although the band at the 9.30am service may not...More

This amazing Church has been under construction for a long time but will be worth it when it is all finished. A very large Church and a wonderful place to get married!

Beautiful church was at risk of closure, currently looks boarded up for repairs but very much open and active! And in May hosts the amazing Warren, a pop up venue for Brighton Fringe, with glorious theatre spaces, food and family friendly events, great music.
