I love the Lanes in Brighton. Brighton is a great city with a very relaxed culture. The shops are all individual and unique. It's a must see, however parking is expensive. There's also plenty of restaurants to eat at.

No visit to Brighton would be complete without a visit to the Lanes (or so I'm told). Personally I find their attraction wears very thin very quickly. Although the Lanes (not to be confused with the North Laine) are pretty enough they are rather twee. A selection of jewellers and souvenir shops with a lot of the more interesting shops... More

Set over several streets, or "Lanes" as known colloquially, the area provides a huge range of independent and aspirational shopping venues that range from shabby chic to artisan outlets. Great for meandering through an often carnival atmosphere and enjoying the many cafés and food outlets.

This must be one of Brighton's hidden jem's as I live about 12 miles away, visited Brighton several times, but only discovered "The Lanes" today, by accident. Each and every Lane has several shops selling anything from jewelry, clothes, antiques and bric-a-brac (check out Snoopers Paradise with over 7000 sq. ft. of displays on 2 floors) and C.D.Weston Ltd. for... I first went to the Lanes 40 years ago, and a few times since. It has changed since the old days, but is still a must if you go to Brighton. It has plenty of shops. i.e jewellery, antique, gifts, and many more to look around. There are some good places to eat and some good pubs also.

Although it rained throughout our trip the mix of shops and very friendly shop keepers made this an enjoyable experience. There really is something for everyone from art to vintage dresses. Although I wasn't particulary looking for anything I found a beautiful silver 1920s style beaded dress which will be great for a wedding and a little out of the... More

Not far from the seafront or indeed the larger shopping centre, but a pleasant place to wander. Large number of jewellery shops and tea shops and art studios.

My wife and I were in Brighton to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Had a wander around the lanes on both of the days we were there. Lovely place, really good atmosphere and some rather nice public houses. Loved it there and we're going back very soon.
