The lanes are great, unusual attractions and a huge variety of shops to visit, some of the attractions you won't see anywhere else, very unique. A word of warning, you can spend all day wondering around the shops and it can be costly and crowded. If your up for that, then the lanes make a great place to visit in... More

Lots of little shops....was okay. Reminded me a bit of Camden area of London. Noted a number of eateries that were vegetaran or vegetarian friendly.

Good place to shop if you want to find something different. There's lots of jewellery shops and quirky hippy shops.

Nice place for a quiet wander on a sunny day. Plenty of character and little cafes to pass the time of day.

The Lanes are a nice essential and opposite feel to the North Laine. This is typically Brighton. It shows the more refined and 'posher' part of Brighton shopping. Come here for jewellery shopping and high end clothes shops.

During our stay in Brighton we explored the shops. A group of ancient passageways with alleys, narrow paths and quaint shops around each corner. The majority of these fascinating miniature shops were jewellers. There was a few clothes shops and chockywockydohdah. A chocolate heaven with chocolate designs in splendid huge cakes and bars of chocolate. A highlight of this area.... More

Pleasantly good shopping with a focus on Jewelry - good for new or second hand and some beautiful things on sale. Nice restaurants abound. Visit and enjoy.

The Lanes are interesting, have some top quality (read expensive) shops, has historical interest, good pubs, restaurants. However, for a great Bohemian atmosphere and fun, the North Laine between North Street and Trafalgar Street is more interesting with a greater variety of shops, pubs, restaurants. You can walk/ meander through both from the bottom of Trafalgar St working your way... More
