Participating in "Street Wisdom" event in this delightful location and discovered a wonderful place to walk around, shop, observe, experience great coffee shops and restaurants. Went back several times

Love the Lanes! Great adventure every time I go with originality and something for every pocket. Great for a day out and plenty of great places to eat into the bargain.

As a teenager, The Lanes were the main appeal of Brighton. Nobody went for the main shopping mall, and the beach was really optional; it was the small, independent shops you could find among The Lanes which gave Brighton the edge over visiting anywhere else....More

Love visiting the lanes looking at the random stuff, always something interesting to look at! Wish they didn’t let cars down them.

The lanes are what make Brighton and any visit to the city is not complete with a stroll through the lanes. The warren of streets feel intimate and the range of shops is interesting. There are a range of jewellery shops and lots of individual...More

Perfect way to spend a few hours wandering around the lanes to shop, people watch and of course have a drink and something to eat. One of my favourite spots in Brighton. Always worth a wander.

Having visited The Lanes many times in the past I was surprised to see so many jewellery shops now. I am sure they are multiplying exponentially. Apart from that is always a good walk just to soak up the atmosphere. Don’t miss the military memorabilia...More

Lovely area with lots of wonderful independent shops. Only drawback - you need a good income or lottery win to be able to afford a lot of the shop prices. Otherwise a mecca for art, food and drink.

The Lanes is a host of independent traders who open (as you'd imagine) independently. Some of the cafes open earlier for breakfasts but most of the jewellery shops start opening up around 10am
