Recommend for any Brighton/football fan who would like a behind the scenes experience combined with a chance to hear more about the history of the club from a knowledgable and passionate guide.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten April 9, 2023
- Sarah PWorthing, United Kingdom25 contributionsBook a stadium tour; you won’t regret it!Dom was a friendly and really informative guide. The tour was a full two hours and took in every aspect of the stadium and the club’s history. The changing rooms are an eye opener and we also visited bars, function rooms, private rooms and the trophy cabinet. Definitely worth a visit!Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten April 9, 2023
- Ben C1 contributionStadium Tour is a MUST do!If you are a Brighton fan, then the stadium tour is a must do. And even if you are not, it's a wonderful peek behind the curtain at one of the best run clubs in the world. We booked a private tour and our guide, Duncan, was amazing. We had incredible access to the stadium, going into both changing rooms, pitch side, in the executives board rooms and so much more. Overall, it was a really fun experience and went by in a flash. Would recommend to everyone.Visited August 2023Written August 16, 2023

He was very knowledgeable and gave us a really in-depth tour and talked us through Brighton and Hove Albion’s history. - Darren G1 contributionFoster Agency visit the AmexWe visited the Amex for a tour of the stadium with our foster carers and foster children for a summer event. The tour was fantastic and everyone who came really enjoyed the experience. Our tour guides Duncan and Julie were very knowledgeable and patient with the children, answering all the questions that we threw at them!. It was great to be able to look round the dressing rooms and get close up to the pitch which looked amazing. Several of the children were so enthusiastic about what they saw that they now want to take in a match. Highly Recommend!Visited August 2023Travelled on businessWritten August 22, 2023

Its a friendly stadium but be prepared to get there by train or bus as car parking is a no no. The stadium is cashless on matchdays.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten October 27, 2023

I've been a Brighton fan from an early age and although no longer a Season Ticket holder and not a regular at the AMEX due to moving out of the area, Brighton are the team I follow. I was given an Amex tour as a present and although it was good to spend time with my son, the tour was not as great as some of the reviews suggest on here.
Our Guide was a nice guy obviously a fan and very knowledgeable of how much every seat cost in fact he regularly told us how much everything cost. When I say regularly I actually mean continuously. The 1901 lounge cost this much. the executive box cost this much. The majority of the tour was made up of the guide telling everyone how expensive everything is for the "supporters".
If I was a new or young fan what would I have learnt:-
Tony Bloom has invested £400m
The Stadium cost £76m
The ladies training centre cost £6m
The Tunnel Club is apparently far too expensive for anyone doing the tour
The seats are now 1cm smaller - to increase revenue
You cant get served at Half time due to overcrowding (Same since 2011)
Cost of the Exec box £3800 per match (Chelsea is apparently £45k)
What would I want to learn if I was a new or young fan:-
Who is the All time top goalscorer?
What was a great moment in Brighton history?
What have they won?
Behind the scenes funny stories
ETC etc
My 6 year old son summed it up as it was OK. We don't want to hear what everything costs we want to hear about the rivalries, the funny stories and anything that is entertaining. Alternatively everyone sit down at the beginning of the tour with a presentation of the costs and then let them wonder around.
I left the tour thinking that we have come a long way since Gillingham with the Withdean era providing me with a lot of great memories and moving onto Falmer which has allowed me to watch some of the best football Brighton have ever played but I also felt that the club now only catered for the money people and not the fans that pay for there seat.

Booked this for Dad’s birthday and it was so worth doing! Booking was very straightforward. Our guide was very knowledgeable, relaxed, friendly and happy to answer all of our questions. The tour gives a fantastic insight into all the workings of what is involved in running this fantastic football club and stadium. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great way to spend a couple of hours next time they are in Brighton. Dad loved it, thank you Amex

We go to the Community Stadium for matches quite a lot, but doing a tour enabled is to see parts of the ground that we never normally experience.
The tour took two hours and went to the restaurants, the 1901 and Tunnel club areas, both dressing rooms, right up to the very top of the West Stand and even into the boardroom. It was great to see the ground from this new perspective, helped by the knowledgable guide for the trip. I particularly liked seeing the private boxes that companies have bought. Even better - you can park right next to the ground on a tour day (very different from the match day experience!).
The tour was limited to the West Stand - the biggest, with the most diverse areas, so the best one to see - but I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the rest of the ground. - but I guess then the tour would have needed to have been 3 hours long. Definitely recommended!

Apart from match days, the stadium is generally open for tours on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, morning or afternoon at a cost of £13 pp. There is also a cafe to buy refreshments

Coming to Amex for West Ham game, I’m fairly local, so know where the ground is, but my boy wants to go by train, can we change at Preston park or do we need to go into Brighton and back out

To get a train to Falmer you need to go to Brighton Station. No trains run from Preston Park to Falmer. You can catch a train from London Road Station in Springfield Road that goes directly to Falmer. As these train comes from Brighton Station you would need to catch it fairly early to ensure there was room to get on.

If it's a match day the park and ride is best and free. Show the blue badge on entry to the car park and it's a very short walk to the bus. The stewards are fantastically helpful if you need support....as are the fans. If it's not a match day then there is ample parking at the stadium and the best car park depends on your stadium entry point but the people at the barriers should be able to guide you with that.

I have taken water and sweets in to the match in a small rucksack that was inspected on entry with no bother at all.
