What a great way to spend Easter Day! Picture the scene....the sun is making an occasional appearance, the cricket is not quite going our way, but who cares really...our host at the Boundary Rooms is always available!...for coffee or wine & a glorious spread at lunchtime...they know how to do hospitality at the Sussex Cricket ground

Had a conference here with about 120 people and could not fault the venue. A large room with good AV and set-up. Food was good. And a good view of the ground.

This is a lovely venue for an event, with views across the grounds and well appointed facilities and room for an exhibition downstairs.

Attended the second day of Sussex v. Kent at the picturesque County Ground yesterday. Although the contest was rather one-sided it was a good day's sport in fine weather, and great to see 'proper cricket' played in whites with a red ball. This place is friendly and welcoming and the facilities are good - better than at other small County... More

Saw the fabulous Sir Tom Jones here last Sunday. Gorgeous evening, great show, lovely venue with excellent choices of food and wine. Good seating and easy access.

Just been to a business networking 'special summer ' meal at Hove cricket ground. I have never been presented with such a dis functional sorry excuse for food, totally awful, slopped onto ones plate, some dishes had run out, the whole was a culinary train crash. Overcrowded just a very sad, poorly organised and delivered event.

Management response:

Hi Clive, Thanks for the feedback. We were not actually the organisers of this event. Purely the host venue. I am aware of the issue from this day, the organisers had increased number quite substantially without giving us a lot of notice, (and more people turned up on the day that we were unaware of) hence the food and space... Day two & a wash out on day three spent at the ground. Great staff & a lovely museum here also. Parking isn't the easiest around the ground.

It was a brilliant evening of cricket yesterday, Sussex playing excellent cricket, to beat a star studded Somerset team. What a shame that the club leave a bitter taste in your mouth by overpricing poor/average quality food and charging an extra £1 for the plastic mug your drink comes in ! Careful SCCC, supporters will start bringing their own food... More

Management response:

Hi Mark, Thank you for your feedback on food & pricing. With regards to the resuable cups; the £1 is a refundable deposit, and only charged on your first drink. Like with other Cricket Club that runwith this scheme, it is to prevent so much wasteage with throw away plastic cups - it is a lot better for the environment.... More

First visit since last August. Attended the Natwest T20 Blast match between Sussex and Somerset this evening as part of a near full house. The match was ultimately one-sided as the visitors couldn't get anywhere near Sussex' impressive total of 222 and the much-anticipated appearance of the run-machine Chris Gayle ended with him being clean bowled for a very small...
