A small museum in a historical setting with lots of corners to explore and a wealth of interesting history, from ship wrecks to the origins of Little Bo Beep. Very manageable in a short space of time.

Very small. Not much to see, but worth a visit. Great views. See the smugglers instruments etc. Outside the castle you’ll see canons that were put there for the Queen Mother’s visit when she came to Rye.

Even if you are not into history, a visit to Ypres Tower is well worth the fantastic view; but do take time to really visit the museum. There is a lovely pub just below the Tower, with a lovely garden. Don't miss it!

We weren't expecting much when we came here, but it was actually very interesting and nice that they have catered for children with the displays and dressing up in the basement. It was interesting to understand the history of the tower and some lovely views...More

It's not a very big museum but there's a few interesting exhibits and a lovely view from the outside area. It's a pity that you can't go up onto the top of the roof but it's still a good place to while away a short...More
