Love it here. Great food, lovely atmosphere and the gift shop is fab too. Great range on the menu but has to be high tea every time. Great little treat.

I visited the Tiptree Jam Museum with my sister-in-law. It is a very small museum but packed with the history. If you take time to read all the information and watch the video I am sure you would very much enjoy your visit as we did. We then had a lovely lunch in the Tea Rooms and went on to... More

Took a trip out to the Tiptree jam museum on a Saturday afternoon. Although busy we didn't have long to wait to be shown to a table. Left a few minutes to read menu and decide what to eat. Waitress very polite and efficient. Food very good and decent size portions. Very plesent surroundings and friendly atmosphere created by all... More

I have been here twice and both times were not good! The last time my husband and I just wanted tea and cake and not full lunch. We felt as though they couldn't be bothered with us and left us waiting quite a long while. The cost was rather expensive and when we paid the cashier took my husbands card... More

Pleasant staff although slow to take order, clean and tidy. Food was nice but rather expensive £8 for a Tuna Jacket potato with tiny salad and small pot of tuna. Children menu 3 options not much choice. Its a shame because it it such a lovely place.

This restaurant proved to be quite a surprise- the food was top class. Usually restaurants attached to the main reason for going there- the various jams etc- serve average food at best. My wife had the egg mayonnaise sandwich and I had a baked potatoe- both very good and my wife was impressed with the bread- she raved about it.... More

Went on a Saturday afternoon and found the tea room busy, but sufficient staff so not a long wait for service. A good range of eats and drinks available and we went for the cream tea which was enjoyable especially since the jams are made by the company and have been for many years. Aintree jams and preserves etc have... More

The Jam Museum TIPTREE This museum is all about the the history of Wilkin & Sons and Tiptree preserves, What a successful old well established business charting the business going back many, many years. Very interesting. After you have explored the museum, go and "tuck in" at the restaurant, with a good menu, not cheap but then again not overly... More

A really pleasant afternoon out - well worth a visit. The tea rooms are excellent. Friendly helpful staff and a splendid afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and Tiptree Jam of course and some very tempting cakes all served on a 3 stand plate. The museum although a little dated is interesting and the shop is full of goodies to tempt... More
