This is an excellent set of working model railway displays. Some of the exhibits are interactive. A great place to visit for adults and children. This looks like a dedicated collector's lifetimes work. A very reasonable ticket price and well worth a look around.

Although the Bourton Model Railway Exhibition is not expensive for an individual, when you are paying for a family of four the cost starts to mount up on top of the other attractions in Bourton as you probably won't spend more that about half an hour here. Nevertheless, the model railways are very impressive. There are only about 4 or... More

Located at the back of a toy store, it is only a few pounds entry but it is really an attraction for serious train enthusiasts.

The layouts are really interesting and have many oppportunities to stop and start the trains with the various signals. However the prices for what it is are a little high and the two rooms smell of damp so this is the overall impression one gets of the visit. The couple taking the money have absolutely no enthusiasm for what they... More

Its a toy and model shop with a separate room at the back with 2 large railway displays. I think it was £8.50 for 2 adults and 1 child. We all enjoyed it, the 1st set up is impressive that changes from day to night so u can see all the lights. The second set up also a large display... More

Super little gem hidden in a shop. The room that had day and night and a fair ground was so cool and a train even had a camera on it! The fair ground was so cute and lit up when it went dark. Kids loved it! As did the adults. Cheap little trip too. Loved the fact in the other... More

There were a couple of very impressive layouts on show, one of which had excellent interaction for the many children there. That said, it seemed quite expensive for a very brief visit and those serving perhaps fell below the high standards met elsewhere in Bourton.

On our visit, the museum was only open at weekends. I paid £5.50 for myself and my six-year old, train-mad son. Upon entry, the "no photography" sign was pointed out with great gusto. The museum has three rooms of self-contained train displays. The first room was so poorly lit that it was difficult to see much, especially at the height... More

Great shame as went to Bourton really to visit shop and exhibition only to find it shut. No mention of shut days in the Cotswold guide. Town had plenty of visitors so must be either very rich or not business like. Never mind enjoyed the rest of Bourton and spent my money elsewhere. Now seen the other reviews and looks... More

We visited this gem with our two children and all four of us were entranced. It's so interesting and the staff really know their stuff - they answered all the children's question cheerfully.
