Such a lovely walk around the lake and boathouse. The actual building at the beginning of the walk you have to pay to go in, even as a National Trust member. Am planning on visiting this year again at least once.

This is my second visit here with my 5 yr old and again was a fantastic visit. Beautiful walks and lots to keep children entertained along the way, rope swings etc. As well as great puddle jumping! Will be back again as enjoyed it so much each time. My son also enjoyed spotting all the gargoyles on the great house.

Woodchester Park is an ideal place for adults/family walks. The different length walks are clearly marked with coloured signs. There are a few play areas scattered around to keep the children entertained. Unfortunately, when we visited, Woodchester Mansion was closed. Definitely worth arranging your visit when the Mansion is open

We went today to blow away the cobwebs, and by the look of it, everyone else had the same idea. The car park was rammed - I didn't realise it'd be so busy. We ended up parking along the track with everyone else. It's only £3 to park there all-day. We took the pink trail which is marked as moderate.... More

The walks of varying lengths are through wooded & open areas that were once, I imagine, part of Woodchester Mansion, grounds. The mansion is owned by Woodchester Mansion Trust whereas the park is National Trust Land. Both park & mansion can be reached by parking in the car park & walking down to the mansion & walks. On most days... More

I've been visiting the park for 30+ years officially and unofficially! I've even walked over the main lake with the boat house when in was frozen over in about 1987! There's so much to discover, the dog kennels, ice house, the tower and about 5 lakes! Enjoy.

Beautiful autumnal walk in the woods. We never make it down to the lake as we have children, but the walk through the woods has plenty to keep the kids entertained. The parking was pretty busy as it was such a nice day, but we arrived early when it was nice and quiet. There are some steep places but we... More

Well hidden gem, car park not clearly signposted from the top £3:00, but free for N.Trust Free mini bus to take people to the mansion if you don't want to walk. Mansion is not NT. but well worth the price. Enthusiastic volunteers give a warm welcome. We will go again,

Visited here recently. Absolutely lovely and a great place for a walk. It costs £3 for parking & is free for national trust. There are 3 main walks, orange, pink & purple. We did the purple walk which was not as well sign posted once off the main track. We got a little lost but somehow ended back on the... More

Very pleasant walk in beautiful woods and a lake setting. Not all paths suitable for families with prams. Was lovely and very entertaining to observe the cattle, sheep and goats!
