Great place to go with something for all the family. Great views and lots of information about how the hill fort was planned. There's a cafe and shop on site. Well worth a visit.

Visited with my son. He likes loud bangs so was very pleased by gun! It's a great museum in an absolutely fascinating location. I am an enthusiast and had a fabulous time. There is so much to see around Portsmouth

Hi Deborah, yes we are open 7 days a week - the only days we close are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day - although if the snow is bad we have closed then as well! During the summer months the Museum opens every day... More

Miles from any bus stops. No public footpaths either. Portsdown does no longer have a bus route this end of the hill. To get to Fort Nelson walking, this is the quickest route. My wife and I walked it last... More
