My ancestors were on the Mayflower 400 years ago, so it was interesting and moving to see this memorial. Wish they had listed all the passengers instead of just having plaques for the richest people on board. Very nice waterfront area next to the cruise...More

We were as ever wandering around Southampton the day before we were due to leave on a cruise ship and had cause to come across this memorial. It doesn't take up a lot of space but given it's location and the momentous event that comemmorates...More

We had visited Southampton a number of times but this was the first that we walked the waterfront area. The memorial is located next to the motorway across from the ferry terminal. This is a memorial to the 1620 pilgrim ships that headed to America....More

The Mayflower was a pilgrim ship headed for America in 1620. This is a memorial to remember this event of the pilgrims fathers that sailed to America. The memorial is a fairly good looking monument.

I wouldn't have made a special visit to see this memorial but I respect it in many ways. It had a warm feeling towards it and the people from the past.

This memorial is important to the people of Southampton and to the ancestors of those who sailed on the Mayflower. Originally the Pilgrim Fathers were to sail from the area now known as Mayflower Park, but they had to call in to Plymouth for repairs,...More

Yes, there is a Mayflower Park and across the street, a memorial, but that is kind of pushed to the side and can go unnoticed. Worth a trip. Some nice trees and benches there to take a break in the shade. The park though could...More
