I absolutely loved this place. I worked for years as an Archaeologist so this place was wonderful. It felt exactly as it would have felt had we been living in it years before. I could have spent hours here, with its natural clay floors, old...More

Awesome building taking you back in time, and letting you have a feel of the architecture of the period, well worth a visit.

You can follow the map directions provided and walk a short distance to find several old buildings such as this one in the old part of the town. I love seeing this sort of reminder of our History and it looks great.

English Heritage run this beautiful house and it is well maintained but £4.80 each to visit is too expensive They would be more appealing asking just for a donation It is a beautifully restored property

Visit this wonderful repository of mediaeval history. This would possibly have been seen by those on their way to boarding the Mayflower for its historic sailing to America and the New World. Look out for the ancient Mulberry tree in the apothecary garden.
