One of the best parks you'll find in a city this size, lots of wildlife, several water features and used for park runs on a Saturday.

Very big park to walk or ride a cycle, all free of charge. It takes a few hours to walk around the full park though, so be aware of your location. Would recommend and will be returning.

Southampton common along with other parks is one of the cities gems. Well managed but not sterile, it's a perfect get away from the noise and traffic. Perfect for a picnic or walking the dog.

I got the Bluestar 1 heading towards Winchester and got off at The Avenue Subway stop, after a short walk I had stumbled upon a small lake with swans and ducks enjoying it and it was very pleasant.
