10 minutes walk from the city centre. Up some steep steps to lovely small green park. It is signposted St Giles viewpoint. The round to decking area/observation area. Lovely views of the city.

The best view of Winchester just 10 minutes from the city centre (be ready to climb some steps). There's a balcony from which you can take photos. It has benches to relax. The grass is immaculate kept. It's not crowded at all, so it makes...More

Steep steps to the top of hill are really worth to take. There is a platform available for you to get view towards the city centre. Don't forget to enjoy the nature and take a deep breath during hiking.

Short walk of about 5-10mins from the end of town / watermill area up quite a few steps to St Giles Hill. The view from the Viewpoint is excellent - you can see all over Winchester, and pick out the cathedral, Castle, College etc etc....More

Discovered this little gem after living here for 3 years! Steep steps, but you can get around it by going up via the various slopes instead. Quiet, serene, with friendly people around. Near trails for the South Downs

St Giles Hill overlooking the City of Winchester. The views are very good and the park itself is of the tourist route so is peaceful and relaxing. A nice spot to relax and take in the views.

Love visiting St Giles Hill Viewpoint, where you are able to look out across Winchester. Spot the important sites from above. It is a very steep walk up but once you are there it is very pretty, a perfect place to bask in the sun...More
