On the Sunday we organised 2 tours of Winchester. Both Carried out very well and covering small hidden parts of the city, which benefits the tour. Both dudes were very knowledgeable.

Due to some kind of ongoing work this facility had been temporarily shifted to the hall along the road. Staff were crowded into a corner but really helpful and knowledgable. Good place to start if visiting Winchester.

Dropped into the tourist centre. They could not have been more helpful. Maps, leaflets and information. A cafe adjoins the centre. Warm and welcoming on a wet day. The coffee however, Let the place down. The tea was good.

The office is within the Guildhall, so you can see both at once. The Tourist Info folks are helpful, and they sponsor walking tours. I took the morning walk (which ends at the Great Hall), and it was fabulous!

We'd rung them and they recommended Gifford House Hotel - a great choice! And very central and helpful - staff were knowledgable. Left with arm loads of brochures

Thank you for this great review. We're glad you enjoyed following our walking trail. December is busy in Winchester, as you discovered - we suggest that visitors use the park and ride to avoid the crowded and more expensive city centre car parks.
