My wife and I tackled this in several parts starting at Yarmouth and going anti clockwise. Pick the weather as the views particularly around Tennyson Down are stunning. The walk beyond Ryde is disappointing where it comes away from the coast to avoid the beach...More

The walking opportunities on the IOW are wonderful. A new vista at every turn - BUT do not set off on a wonderful trail such as the Stenbury Trail and expect it to be signposted. We are seasoned walkers and even had a map from...More

We only did part of it Sandown to Ventnor was great as was Ryde to Bembridge. The excellent bus service means you can do sections of it. Most of the walking we did was on very good paths

We walked from Yarmouth to Shanklin on a 3 day inn-to-inn adventure. We used Wight Wanders (Wight Walks) to arrange the inns, transport our bags and provide directions for our walk. Wight Wanders was wonderful. The inns they arranged for us were first rate, the...More

Solo hiked around the Island in 3 days with my dog, I made it 70.1 miles. There was HOT sun, lightning, rain, fog, and I still had a great time. I found the walk fairly easy (with a reasonable level of fitness) with a 36lb...More
