Totday (May 26th) we took a 90 minutes guided tour through Canterbury, booked at the tourist information in the City centre. Our guide, Jane, proofed to be a nice lady, who was very well informed and new all about Canterbury's history. She spoke humorously, not only did she teach us a lot, we had great fun as well! Coming from... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. I went to prepare for some friends who are going to visit, hoping to find some interesting and quirky facts. I was not disappointed. I will not give away the highlights, but can warmly recommend the tour.

What a treat, we've lived here most of our lives, so decided to take the tour (part of my 70th birthday pressie!) ..... we thought it would be quite a challenge as 90 mins suggests quite a trek....but no, it was vertually within the cathedral area. Most enjoyable, highly recommend, may consider the extended more lengthy tour next.

The guided tour takes around 90 minutes and costs £7.00 for seniors. Total distance walked is only about 1 mile. We had an informative guide, but were slightly disappointed in that, although the guided tour was ostensibly of the sites of Canterbury, most of the time was spent in the grounds of the Cathedral - the inside of the cathedral... We very much enjoyed this 90 minute walk around the city. Our guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Kept all interested the whole time. There were 14 in our group.

I love doing the walking tours when visiting historical places, and our guide, Lynne was interesting and knowledgeable. It's definitely a must to make the most of weekends away and Canterbury has so much history it would be a real shame to miss it!

A really great tour of the city of Canterbury and outside of the Cathedral. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took time to tell us all she knew. So much to do in this delightful city.

We went here a day after visiting the Cathedral. Lynn our guide was both informative and very animated. The hour and a half went by so fast as we learned all the details of life surrounding the Cathedral including some of the customs of the time overlapping many subjects such as religion, construction, sleeping conditions, sanitation (rather lack of sanitation),... We loved the walking tour led by Doreen, she had an excellent historical knowledge of the City and of the background history, everything was clearly explained. It was great to be able to take our dog on the tour.

Excellent guide, Lynn, obviously loves the city and is deeply knowledgeable. Imparts that knowledge with warmth and enthusiasm. An excellent way to spend an hour and a half.
