Thomas More fan

I visited the church because it supposedly houses the head of the English writer and martyr, Sir Thomas More. It is a quiet and peaceful place with lovely stained glass.

I used to work at Roper House RNID home across the road from this church many years ago and was able to see it opposite. The church is over one thousand years old, it is famous for its lnks with the Thomas Moore family, I believe he was beheaded in the cathedral and his head is buried in the family... More

This church is just around the corner from my house and it is very beautiful to look at from the outside and the inside. The place is very nice and peaceful. The bus stop is right out the church to get into town as well as many other places outside of Canterbury.

Never got a chance to explore inside, this church looks great from the outside. Set in large church yard north west from Canterbury town center. Located by the busy part of town offers nice and quiet space for tourists and worshipers.

Connections with the family of Thomas More's daughter, Margaret Roper. The family vault is the final resting place of Margaret and her father's head!

St. Thomas More is said to be buried here. Its a small church and quite serene. Its a peaceful place to pray. There's an old cemetery at the back of the church which you can walk around.

This is like a proper old fashioned village church but in the town (nay city!). I've been to a few weddings and christenings here and found it a very pleasant building / institution. Nice higgledy piggledy gravestones and grassy bits to wander through.

Its quieter than the cathederal crypt, if you want a word with the boss.!. And that has to be pretty good for its location.
