They tried to stimulates loads to allow visitors to imagine what it was like back then during the war. Day 2 we went into the Operation Dynamo tunnel- just... More

A great variety of things to see and do at Dover Castle, the WW2 tunnels were a particular favourite! We walked from the train station- well worth the effort!

The castle is spectacular and huge. It is 900 years old and has been lovingly restored. You can climb the Great Tower or enjoy the lovely interiors. You can also visit the Wartime Tunnels within the White Cliffs.

We had a lovely full day at Dover Castle, the WWII tunnels and hospital were a fascinating insight into the history of the castle. The tower and castle itself is very simply and effectively done with no additional information meaning it is particularly family friendly - lots to look at and photo opportunities!

We only had a couple of hours in Dover so we took the secret WW2 tunnels tour at Dover Castle. It was very interesting (and with a WWII history buff husband, I have been on a lot of WWII historic tours), and the guide/leader was very knowledgable. The entrance fee is pricey, and you have to pay the Castle's full... More

Great value for money, full day out with loads to see! Staff are polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. Perfect day out for all ages with lots of easy access, well located toilets and food outlets. Under ground tunnels are the best part of the day, something different.

When we went here there was a Tudor acting thing and there were HOARDS of different aged kids sitting down and happily watching. I believe afterwards all the children were given a chocolate coin. It's wonderful to see kids getting so interested in history like this. I saw the rooms and the buildings outside. In one of the rooms there... More
