This park was created as a result of the Euro Tunnel and it is a spectacular place above the white cliffs looking over the English Channel. It is a great place to walk but can get cold and windy but the scenery is worth it.

Came here for a walk with my sister on a windy day. Parking was ample, lovely picnic area and visitor centre, even toilets! The gentleman at the information desk came out to make sure we didn't mind cows and sheep as they are grazing out at the moment. We stopped and chatted a while and he was a font of... More

We visited this nature reserve to be in the lea of the strong wind so that we may enjoy a walk with our two dogs. Dogs are to be kept on a lead and during our visit there were sheep grazing the field. The magnificence of the white cliffs, the bird life, views towards Folkestone and Dover harbour where a... A short drive out of Dover, the history of Samphire Hoe as an old Mine, the railways and then dumping ground for the Channel Tunnel extractions, now a nature reserve, definitely worth a visit.

what ever the weather take a picnic , you can eat out side or in doors with the heat of the wood burning stove. then take off for a long stroll including the beach or a shorter walk around the hoe. the history of this place is quite a surprise and at the age of 60 I have learnt a... More

It all depends what you like, but I found it a nice relaxing walk. The white cliffs to one side and the ocean to the other.

If the weather is fine and warm this would be a lovely spot for a picnic, but as it was blowing a gale when we visited we hopped out of the car, walked to the information boards, absorbed the information about how this landscape was made, which was surprising, and returned to our car! Worth the 10/15 minutes required for... More

My husband and I took our four month old twins on our first overnight trip to Dover and Canterbury and we stopped at Samphire Hoe based on several reviews and recommendations. It was easy to find, parking was very cheap (especially for the UK), the scenery was a gorgeous view of the White Cliffs, and the hike we did was... More

Created from the construction of the Channel Tunnel making a 30 hectare nature rezerve. A must to visit.
