Great spot and quite idyllic but let down by the most appalling filthy public lavatory next to the wetherspoons pub. Went on a Tuesday in mid October and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in month. Brown stains on the seats and filthy walls and floors. Disgusting. The cleaner responsible should be sacked and the council hang their heads in shame.

So much going on in this very busy, and historic harbour. Just twenty five or so miles from the French coast this is an easy place to enjoy craft of all sorts. Built about 1845, this was later named as the royal harbour, as Britains Royal Yacht Squadron was stationed here. Home to ferries, hovercraft and many pleasure craft, although the hovercraft is still here, but only as a immobile feature. In fact the harbour celebrates it history by many craft, although the lifeboat station is understandably given the still a very active force.

This place is lovely to have a wander around even in the inclement weather that we experienced with lots of boats to admire. There are shops and bars lining the harbourside so plenty of space for a sit down and a drink or food whilst watching the world go by. Several car parks in the vicinity.

A lovely area to visit. Very picturesque and pretty with lots of attractive cafes and restaurants all along the harbour front.
The gentle tinkling sound of the boats and the water lapping at the edge is very peaceful.
We were lucky to have beautiful weather and were happy to sit and people watch next to the harbour.

Christmas lights were never so dramatic and wonderful as on the boats and their rigging in Ramsgate harbour and surrounds. Spectacular. Some may have seen early evening TV reports. One for the diary next year if you missed it. There's also a great choice of restaurants & bars around the harbour.

Beautiful marina which you can do a circular walk around by going over the bridge when it's not open for yachts coming and going. Also lovely to look at while sitting and having a drink or meal. Restaurant and cafe owners are dog friendly and provide water for dogs. Can't beat it in summer and at Christmas the yachts are light up with Christmas lights!

It was a beautiful sunny day when we visited Ramsgate. We were able to walk fully around both arms of the harbour and look at the many yachts, fishing boats, Border Force vessels and windfarm craft. Many harbours are closed to the public but rRamsgate seemed to be very open and to have few restrictions.

The harbour is pretty and there is a beautiful big old seagoing Tug that dates back to the 1950s under restoration there.
We went on a hot day and there were A LOT of drunk people around swearing and generally making u feel not that comfortable.
Maybe it was because of the nice weather but it didn’t encourage me to stay there that long.
It’s quite interesting to walk around lots of boats but I didn’t really feel I wanted to go back.

A lovely day trip with the family. Lovely shops on the beach, with a relaxing view on the beach. We rented some deck chairs on the clean sandy beach from a friendly helpful couple. It wasn’t too expensive and they helped us with the deck chairs. We spent most of the day relaxing and enjoying the beach and the weather was nice. We got some yummy vegetarian nachos from a local shop which was yummy and whippy ice cream from the corner and was served by a cheerful friendly young man who was very helpful and kind. Nice relaxing day out to unwind. Will return again inshallah 🫶🏽 thank you Ramsgate.

Found out the Medway Queen Paddle Ship had arrived near bye and was due in a few days to be moved on to the grade one listed slipway for repair. Should look very impressive looming over the yard. Also noticed that a selection of border patrol boats moored in the outer harbour. Inner area quite busy.
